About Camryn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay could be described as aggressive and consistent with great game IQ as well being skilled in all parts of volleyball. I am naturally powerful and athletic. I also play some beach volleyball which helps me a lot as a full rotation outside hitter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Many of my coaches say that I have an inexplicable love for the game that pours out in my gameplay. I always try to be positive and supportive to my teammates when they make a mistake and especially when I make an error. I am very competitive in practice as well and enjoy training just as much as the games.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received many leadership awards in school and was chosen to be on the student council by my peers. I was heavily involved in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at my middle school and serve with the little kids on Sundays at church. I would do charity work when I can at the Children’s Hunger Fund with my family.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

At camps I would always be the first one to jump on the court for demonstrations. I have also played multiple sports so I have learned to be organized and to be early to practices. I love helping people whether it’s at school and my friends need help with homework, or when my teammate doesn’t know where to be in a certain drill.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have moved to many different cities. I have attended several schools and have had to overcome my shyness to make friends. This experience has helped me to become a more friendly and out going person.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking to go to a big school that has a roadmap for success on and off the court, where I feel connected to my team and I can get a quality education. I want to love the school I am at regardless of what is happening with volleyball.
