About Charlie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a vocal, high-energy libero who runs the backcourt and keeps the team organized. I communicate constantly, read the game well, and take pride in building confidence and chemistry on the court. I play with determination, consistency, and a never-quit mindset.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a tough, team-first mindset to the court. I stay focused, encourage others, and never back down from a challenge. I play with confidence, effort, and a strong sense of responsibility to my team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership, teamwork, and service-oriented qualities through both my school and community involvement. At Mount Notre Dame High School, I’ve grown in compassion and social responsibility, living out our school’s mission to learn, lead, and serve with purpose rooted in Catholic values.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced challenges by having to earn my role at every level. At club, I trained behind a top libero in the state and used that competition to elevate my game, eventually earning the starting spot on our top team. As a freshman, I began on JV but worked my way into the starting varsity libero position after eight games, helping lead the team to a state Final Four appearance.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m seeking a Division I program with a highly competitive volleyball culture, ideally within a Power Conference. I’m motivated to compete at the highest level and am looking for a program that values hard work, development, leadership, and academic excellence.

In watching Hatfield more and more recently, it is evident that she is a high impact aspect for her Elevation team. They recently won the Big South NQ in the 15 Open division as she continues to solidify this team’s ball control and defense with the effort and example she displays each time she takes the court. She is so locked in to what her role is as their primary libero and is engaged through every contact during point flow. Her quick and efficient movement help her remain very effective in her ability to play the ball with good pursuit and angle production.
