Expert Analysis

Espinosa can do almost anything as a volleyball player. She has excellent size for a libero at 5’8″, while retaining all the quickness you may see in a player without her length. That reach allows her to play tips and rolls with ease, run down balls, and her great beach game translates to indoor play. She is a Seattle Pacific commit and will play with SIVBC in her final club season.

Espinosa was a defensive leader on her Liberty High School squad, which finished fifth place at the 3A State Tournament. The junior showed a calm and cool demeanor at the Expo, digging everything that came her way and passing nails in serve receive. Her size and athleticism are difference-makers for her defensively.

Espinosa has been doing a bit of everything for her SIVBC team, and she does it all with a smooth confidence and solid execution. If we focus on the libero aspect of her game, she has excellent angles in serve receive, her length and quickness allow her to reach balls that others don’t, and she can push through and make the dig on a rocket that is headed for the floor. She gives Sudden Impact a little more though; she can rip a swing from the pipe, set with her hands to the pins and her serve has been giving opponents big problems this season.

Espinosa has moved into the #23 overall position in the 2026 rankings. Her versatility and athleticism were key to a terrific school season for her Liberty squad. She is a fairly long libero at a listed 5’8, and that gives her an edge when running down a deep ball or laying out for a tip. She can step into the front row as an attacker and serves tough and in. Espinosa will be part of a talented SIVBC 16 Thunder team for the 2024 club season.

Espinosa has a terrific and versatile overall game. Playing the right side for Liberty she delivered textbook defense and ripped swings into the deep corners to score. Her game in person and on video matches the stats- an excellent float serve, (42 Aces) a hard working blocker (46 Total) and willig to play defense with 139 on the season. Liberty will return excellent attackers in Layne Ford,

are all on the roster. We will focus on Espinosa here, she was assertive and was the winner of the mythical “most high fives given” award for the day. When the libero is keeping the team energized and talking it up, you usually see a successful squad. Espinosa isn’t just talking, she is playing hard; delivering solid sets from her platform and running down balls to the corner.

Espinosa is a sparkplug for her Sudden Impact 15 Typhoon team. The Liberty High School freshman patrols the middle back defensively, as a DS and she is supremely confident in her role. She can put together a long serving run, and is effectively a second liber during her rotation. Espinosa has a flat jump float that she locates precisely, and she will chase a ball down into the seats if she has a chance to save a point for her team.
