Duong is a player on the rise and she will be a massive piece for a Curtis High School team that is hoping to challenge for a state 4A Championship. Duong is quick, steady in serve receive, and is willing to lay out and sacrifice to make a play and keep a point alive. The junior was in control of the back line for her Dakine squad, she gets a great read on the hitter and does the same in serve receive.

Part of a strong Curtis High School program, and an excellent player indoor and on the beach for Dakine, Duong has excellent footwork in serve receive, she reads the server well and can drop step or shuffle to get herself into a great position. This was her second year in a row being a part of the PSR All-Star team, helping the group to a third place finish this year.

Part of an excellent young group of players at Curtis High School, Duong has an advanced volleyball IQ for just being a class of 2026 prospect. Alongside Payton Heim, she gives Dakine an impressive defensive lineup. Duong anticipates tips and setter dumps, she is typically headed in the right direction even before attackers are committing to a certain shot. If she can’t run through a ball, Duong has good hands- she can reach out with just one and make the play for her team.

Attackers have to truly sell a tip or roll if Duong is on the court, otherwise, she will read the play, anticipate the ball and be standing under it to make the dig. Even an excellent off-speed shot has a chance to be dug out with her quickness and fundamentally sound technique. When Duong is scrambling and has to get creative, she will reach out an one arm and pop up a pass good enough to keep the point alive.
