Janes could be counted on to step into a huge role for the Panthers this fall. Janes played opposite hitter during high school season, but has moved into a setter role during club season. Janes has shown great touch and good arc on her short and long sets during club season. Janes can even do a back set. She does lean some while performing the back set, but is improving there. Het setovers can also use some work, but her dedication should help her get to the point of running them efficiently. The lefty makes smooth first touches and has a deceptive, spinning jump serve.

Janes is doing a good job running the offense for the 16 Blue team, getting a number of hitters involved. Janes is coachable, consistently doing what is asked of her. Janes has a deceptive setover and will only improve throughout the rest of the club season.

Janes played a big role in helping the 15 Blue team go 3-0 on the first day. She mixed up the short and long passes all over the court at setter. She also played some opposite hitter and delivered some big kills. She has a nice approach to the net and takes sound swings. Her left-handed swings give defenses something extra to consider. Janes recovers quickly when blocked. Her quick hands are a big asset defensively.

Janes (pictured) could turn into a sound all-around player for the Panthers by the time it is over and done with. The lefthanded Janes hustles hard after balls to keep plays alive then quickly transitions to offense and takes nice swings from the right side. Janes will only improve with more experience.
