Richards has been on fire with Magnolia since the start of the season, strongly contributing to the team’s success on both sides of the ball. The senior has been extremely reliable offensively, having reached a career-high 409 kills, including a whooping 29 against Oak Ridge. Richards has also been very active on the backcourt, registering a career-high 267 digs to go with 390 passes.

Capable of playing on either pin, Richards has started the season on the right with Skyline 17 Royal. With her great length and well-diversified offense, she’s a threat to score points from anywhere on the court and does an excellent job in adjusting to different sets. Richards is very explosive and uses her reach well to swing hard, but also has a very good wrist an excellent court vision, a combination that bails her out when conditions aren’t the best. She’s also capable of putting on a big block in front of opposing hitters and does a very nice job when asked to join the serve-receive system.

The long and skilled outside hitter has had somewhat of a quiet night offensively on Tuesday, with just six kills, but has been a solid contributor for the Bulldogs throughout the season. Richards ranks second in the squad in kills (367), blocks (25) and passes (436) and fourth in digs (219) and it would be great news for Magnolia if she were able to step up her game and take some of the offensive load off of Bull’s shoulders.

A long and athletic pin hitter, Richards brings tremendous firepower to Magnolia’s offense. A good jumper, she uses her 6’1″ frame extremely well to score points and is very productive when hitting from the left, right, or even the backcourt. Although her offense is still the main part of her game, she’s made great strides with her passing and defense over the last couple of years and is elite on those areas too.

Chloe Richards Chloe Richards 6'1" | OH Magnolia | 2024 State TX is the true definition of an all-around player as there’s really nothing she can’t do well on a volleyball court. She has typically been used as a right-side hitter at Magnolia, but spent the last club season playing as an outside hitter for her Houston Skyline team. Richards’ 6’1” frame is certainly a big part of her game, as it makes her very difficult to stop on offense and a tremendous blocker, but there’s a lot more to it, including her solid backcourt skills and dangerous serving. She’s stacked up some impressive numbers in her first two seasons of high school volleyball, amassing 630 assists, 254 kills, 245 digs, 52 aces and 47 blocks.
