With quick reflexes and a relentless pursuit of the ball, Cora consistently makes accurate, controlled passes and digs some of the toughest attacks. She boasts impressive dig-to-attack ratios and consistently ranks high in serve receive accuracy, allowing her team to run a fluid offense. Bicknese is just one of those players who is incredibly athletic, can play anywhere, and does it really well. She can swing hard down the line and paint the corner like an artist. I noticed they’ve been working on a quicker tempo, and Bicknese has been taking monster swings on the ball.

Bicknese hit the 1,000 digs mark in September. This is not an easy achievement; she did it early in her sophomore season. Even more impressive is that when I saw Chatfield at the Class AA Showcase Bicknese was taking swings and not playing as libero. This would make reaching that milestone even more challenging, but that doesn’t seem to phase her.

Bicknese is another player that is no stranger to playing with girls much older than she is. She has great awareness of her platform and makes such efficient movement across the court. Bicknese has a commanding presence on the first contact whether its in serve receive or taking pace off the hard hit attack. This definitely makes her stand out along with her game IQ and fundamental foundation. She will be a great add for a high level program.

As I watch Bicknese I can’t help but wonder if she is also a ninja? Her reaction time is immediate and how she manages to get the ball exactly where it needs to be in a flinch of the arm is just nuts. She’s scrappy in coverage and gets under the ball in the blink of an eye. Her vital squad has been really turning some heads this club season and what is even more impressive is that she is a year younger than her teammates. She just has impeccable ball control, anticipates all the right moves, and is fast as lightning. I could see where it would be very frustrating to play against her because nothing would land!

I think it was until a week or two ago I just assumed Bicknese was a 2026 because she plays on the Vital 16-1 Gold team who has qualified 16 Open at USAV in Vegas. I was thinking she would be a high level libero for colleges to call this June. She will have to wait another year as a 2027. She preps at Chatfield, a small school in Southeast Minnesota. She has a ton of range, picking up the tips, the out of system balls, and finding a way to get her side of the net in system.

Bicknese was named to the 2023 Class A Showcase All-Tournament Team and you can find her playing with Vital 16-1 this season. She is going to be a stellar athlete to keep an eye on this season even while playing up an age group. Her serve receive is solid and she gets a lot of great defensive touches.

Consistent and dependable liberos are worth a million bucks. Bicknese had a solid freshman season and will only get better. Chatfield may not have made it to the X but Bicknese could help them get there in the next couple years.

I really like Bicknese as a young libero on this Chatfield squad. She moves really well and is solid in serve receive. Bicknese is fast approaching 500 digs on the season as a freshman and will be a key to the Gopher’s success for the next few years.
