Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
It’s the Swiss army knife. Moore has played a little bit of everything throughout her prep career, but her senior year was largely settled at her natural position on the right pin. The senior delivered with a team-leading 250 kills in the regular season and was also an anchor to Waverly’s formidable block. It’s no wonder why the Vikings are staking a seemingly permanent spot in the Class B tournament.

You could chalk up Moore as a “utility player” if you wanted. She’s done it all throughout her prep career. Her inclusion on this list is a nod to Moore’s impact at the opposite position, where she became an unstoppable scorer for Waverly last year.

We just mentioned Moore’s incredible versatility in a prior feature, and now she’s back in the conversation among Nebraska’s 2024 stock risers. She has been a steady force for Nebraska ONE 17 Black this year and provides plenty of optimism for this year’s Waverly squad. Who knows which role she might take on with the Vikings this time!

What hasn’t Moore done? She’s been a setter, defensive specialist, middle blocker, and pin hitter. I think that covers just about everything. Her “defined” position in our database may need a refresh, though, as Moore has made her most recent splash at opposite for Nebraska ONE 17 Black. But, who knows? Maybe she’ll thrive in a new role before long.

While Schuerman has been busy producing highlight moments on the left side, Moore has generated some hype of her own on the opposite pin. Moore also reminds me of the aforementioned Ervin in that she’s played a vast array of positions throughout her prep career. But the right-side hitter spot is looking good for this Waverly product, helping create a balanced attack among 17 Black’s hitters.

Moore is making the move to Nebraska ONE 17 Black this spring, and I’m excited to see how she performs with a great group of other Lincoln-area standouts. This Waverly athlete has experience as a defensive specialist and a right-side hitter, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Moore in some roles other than setter for Nebraska ONE.
