Speaking of Nebraska ONE 17 Black’s ball control, Real’s breakout performance at GJNC brought a new level of consistency to the team’s first contacts. This Class of 2027 prospect played up a year with 17 Black and held down the libero jersey during this summer’s high-stakes Dallas trip. Real produced the pinpoint passes and transition digs that we remember seeing from her at a past Prep Dig Showcase outing. Nebraska ONE 17 Black looks a little different compared to last year’s group, but Real is fitting right into the new lineup. This Waverly sophomore was a standout performer on last year’s Prep Dig Circuit, so we were already acquainted with Real’s natural defensive skills. She harnessed those abilities while leading the 17 Black ball-control unit during Sunday’s event. This was an ideal first impression.

Waverly is always an important locale to watch for emerging libero talent. Real joins a Vikings team that could have several sophomores in its starting lineup while still having enough firepower to stay in the tournament conversation. This up-and-coming defender recently exhibited her strong backcourt instincts at our Prep Dig Stock Up Showcase, where Real stood out during individual drills and six-on-six competitions. We’re looking forward to seeing Real’s contributions in a rigorous Class B slate that offers plenty of pressure tests for defensive specialists.
