At 6’0″, senior Evelyn Cheatham Evelyn Cheatham 5'11" | RS/MB Golden | 2027 State CO has been a major offensive piece for Golden. She has already recorded 81 kills while averaging 3.9 kills per set and hitting .392. However, the numbers only tell part of the story. Every time Cheatham plays, she seems to show another part of her game. She can attack from anywhere in the front row, which gives Golden plenty of options when the offense is in system. Additionally, Cheatham does a nice job keeping opposing defenses on their toes. If a team takes away one option, she can find another. That versatility has made her a difficult matchup and an important part of Golden’s strong start.

Cheatham is a 5’11” middle who also plays for NORCO. She’s a quick middle who does a great job remaining available in transition and is able to turn her swing to either sideline with ease. While having a middle in the back row serving is typically a weaker rotation for teams, this isn’t the case with Cheatham. She plays great defense, making solid reads on hitters and putting up great passes, protecting her serve and allowing her team to run in system.
