Senior, Maddelyn Goodman Maddelyn Goodman 5'8" Golden | 2027 CO has been a steady presence in Golden’s back row. She has already collected 74 digs this season. Goodman brings a solid platform and strong reading skills to the position. More importantly, she reacts quickly and has a great feel for how much power she needs to put behind each pass. That control allows her to make adjustments instead of simply reacting to the ball. As a result, Goodman gives Golden a reliable first-contact option and helps keep the offense in system. Meanwhile, her feel for the back row continues to stand out. She reads the court well, controls the ball, and stays composed when rallies get chaotic.

Maddelyn Goodman Maddelyn Goodman 5'8" Golden | 2027 CO operates the backcourt with college-level discipline. Her platform control is elite for her class—quiet, square, and consistent—keeping her team in-system even under heavy serve pressure. She reads hitters early, establishes base quickly, and turns velocity into controlled first contact rather than reactionary saves. What separates Maddelyn is her command of tempo; she doesn’t just defend, she stabilizes rotations. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

What to expect this weekend: a primary serve-receive anchor who thrives against pace, wins second contacts, and gives setters clean lanes to run the offense.
