Vivian Pearson is playing alongside a talented Golden squad and has found ways to contribute in nearly every aspect of the game. Pearson is just a sophomore but has improved tremendously, playing with a high volleyball IQ and showing confidence running the offense. She does a great job reversing the flow and turning out of system balls into quality attacking opportunities. Pearson also contributes defensively, putting up solid numbers both as a blocker at the net and as a defender in the back row.

She has already recorded 159 assists and added 18 blocks this season. One thing that stands out is how well Pearson spreads the offense. She keeps multiple hitters involved, which prevents the attack from becoming predictable. As a result, Golden can create opportunities from several different spots on the court. Additionally, Pearson is confident on the defensive side. Her 6’0″ frame gives her a strong presence at the net, and her blocking adds another dimension to her game. That combination of setting, size, and versatility makes Pearson an important piece of Golden’s 7-0 start.
