The 5’5″ defender is one of the best in the business and is a player her teammates know they can rely on. Hopkins’ efficiency can probably be evenly credited to her technical and mental skills as, at the same time she impresses with her ball control and quickness, her excellent positioning is a true difference-maker. She’s also a fantastic leader, who communicates with her teammates the entire time and often reads the game for them.

One of the most reliable and consistent liberos in the region, Hopkins put on another tremendous performance, making it to the All-Tournament Team. She’s extremely technical and quick, but the two things that most contribute to her incredible production are her positioning and ball control. Hopkins, who also plays a key role for Tomball as one of the team’s most vocal leaders on the court, tallied 95 digs, 87 passes and ten aces.

The 5’5” defender has excellent range on defense, combining her great positioning with tremendous quickness and reaction speed. Keeping the ball under control while stretching your body or diving for it is not easy, but when it’s Hopkins doing it, it certainly doesn’t look as complicated. She has been a stud for her high school team Tomball and will very likely surpass 1,000 digs and passes in her high school career as she enters her senior season with 845 and 916, respectively.
