Please officially welcome Miss Whann to the State Rankings. Gigi is currently ranked as the 38th best overall prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Highland Park High School and also for the Texas Advantage Volleyball club program. Recently she chose to verbally commit to playing at the University of Arizona. The future Wildcat is no stranger to accolades as she has been part of some awesome squads in her junior volleyball career. Her wide base and low posture during serve receive are a testament to years of awesome coaching and her discipline with technique. When you watch her pass out of serve receive, you can see attention to detail with both footwork and platform touch on the ball. I would strongly recommend all young players to watch her highlight film to see how the libero position is supposed to be played. As far as defense is concerned, she posses such a natural soft touch on the ball when hit directly at her. She softens the hard driven ball with amazing cushioning of her platform. For balls that are hit well outside of her body, I love watching her lunge out and sprawl to keep the ball in play. This young lady is a defensive phenom and we are proud to have her listed on our site. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our State Rankings.
