Hancock is a technically sound libero who relies on her skills to impact the game. She stays low and balanced, establishes a strong platform early, and does a solid job delivering accurate passes to target. Defensively, she reads the game well and uses efficient footwork to get herself into position. Rather than diving, Hancock stays on her feet and runs through balls whenever possible which allows her to maintain control and quickly transition on to the next play. Hancock is a solid libero that I am sure we are going to see many great things from.

You can’t mention floor defenders without mentioning someone from HSE. The perennial 4A state power produces high-end players at all positions consistently, and Miss Hancock is no different. I like the fact that her relentless play and solid skill set carries her (and the roster around her) to wins more often than not, as the first contact is SO important for any roster. If Isabella can continue her training regiment and foot speed work, she will rise through the rankings faster than most.

Yet another defender more than familiar with high-end, open-level training, Isabella plays bigger than her size might otherwise indicate. She appears to cover more ground in serve receive than on defense, and for good reason—-at HSE, there aren’t too many pass-to-attack pin players on their rosters, and she’s learned over the years to “take over” in serve receive. She’s more than capable to pass half the court, leaving the rest of the serve receive pattern relaxed and ready to do their jobs. Not too many DS’s in this state have the “greedy passing” gene, but the good ones always do. Miss Hancock is one of them.
