As a solid six-rotation option on the outside, Hayden’s ball control, read-and-react defensive posture and ability to minimize errors on the attack will carry her far in her recruiting journey. To know that Hayden is a plug-and-play option on the outside at this level probably puts her coaches at ease—-you don’t have to worry about Miss Reeves getting the job done. Adding her to an outside hitting group at the next level seems a no-brainer, as she’s as much of a six-rotation outside as she is a solid defensive addition to any position group.

Watching Hayden play first thing Sunday morning was refreshing, to say the least. Bringing it on every single swing, Miss Reeves hammered away at undisciplined blocks, received serve with ease, and was an overall pain against CVC 15 Black. Although her squad didn’t have the finish they wanted, it was nice to see renewed energy from her and her team. Hayden led that charge in earnest, and should continue to do so in the future.

Reeves is the other member of this exciting duo of OHs for Team Indiana 15.1 alongside Spearing. They both bring a ton of confidence and competitive energy to the court and play all six rotations. Hayden has a great attacking toolbox that includes high hands and hard seam swings, but what I loved most was how she worked the perimeter of the court hitting both a SHARP cut shot, as well as taking it down the line. She also works really hard in transition to get deep and off the net whether she is blocking or playing off blocker defense. Reeves is a solid foundation for this team on the outside and sets a really good tone with her high level of hustle and willingness to get after it.
