Jordyn Skjerven Jordyn Skjerven S/RS Thief River Falls | 2030 MN is getting valuable varsity experience early in her high school career, seeing action in more than 60 sets and recording 39 assists this season. Her ability to play both setter and right side gives Thief River Falls some flexibility with its lineup heading into the semifinal. Against East Grand Forks, I’ll be watching how she handles the faster pace of play, especially when the first pass pulls the setter off the net. Being ready to take the second ball, make a good decision under pressure, and keep the offense moving will be important. When she’s on the right side, her positioning and readiness to attack could also give Thief River Falls another option. Skjerven may be one of the younger players on the floor, but her ability to fill different roles could be valuable when the match gets tight. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas
