Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I believe in a team-centered environment that uses strategic plays and placement to accomplish our goals. As a setter, it's my job to see the court, and keep calm and controlled during crazy plays. When I'm hitting I lead in a different way, by putting away the ball and having fun. When I'm playing defense or passing, I try my best to make it look effortless and simple, starting and saving plays.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I'm a very dedicated and hard-working athlete that works to be the best I can and always improve in any way. I bring my leadership and on and off the court and I make solid relationships with those around me. I feel I'm very mature and adventurous wether that's on the the court, in the classroom, in the community, or in nature. I'm involved in many things prioritizing those that are important.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I strive to demonstrate academic and extracurricular achievements throughout my educational career to be well-rounded. I've been recognized as Student of the Year and have consistently earned Student of the Quarter/Month honors since 3rd grade. With four years in FCCLA, I've held leadership positions and medaled annually in competitions. Additionally, I'm involved musically and in other sports.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my experiences, I have developed a diverse set of skills that have greatly influenced my personal and professional growth. Leadership and teamwork are at the forefront, enabling me to motivate others while collaborating effectively to achieve our goals. My commitment to community service reflects my desire to give back and make a positive impact. Communication ties it all together.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of my biggest hardships in my life has been losing an older sibling when I was 11. That taught me to be resilient and prioritize things that are important to me. It helped me learn not only empathy and communication skills, but also the drive and determination to do something meaningful not only which would benefit me, but others around me.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm seeking a college that offers a strong academic program in a safe environment, ideally situated close to nature. I value a positive campus culture with experienced coaching staff and supportive teammates which is essential for my personal and athletic development. Additionally, I look for opportunities to grow both academically and personally alongside well-maintained facilities.
