About Juni

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am active and loud on the court at all times. Although I am short, I stay low to the ground and spring into action when I am needed. If we get a point, I am energetic and jumping around, if we lose a point, I bring up my teammates no matter what. I like to stay as positive as I can on and off the court

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am loud and energetic and always ready to uplift my teammates. Liberos are usually known to be booming with energy and that is exactly what I am. I am very talkative but I know when it is time to focus. When playing on the court, I make sure not to focus on the mistakes being made, but what I can and will do to improve them. I also like to make sure my teammates aren't in their heads.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I like to think of myself as a leader. I take action when needed and also make sure everyone feels apart of the team. Its a team sport for a reason, we have to work together to make it work.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of my biggest challenges I have faced while playing volleyball was definitely bringing myself down. Whenever I made a mistake, I would really beat myself up about it and it didn't help me or my team. I learned to focus on what I can do better for the next play and forget about the mistakes. I remind myself that every point ends in a loss and its okay to make mistakes.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with good teammate chemistry and culture. Not always focused on winning every game, just playing together.
