💡 Game You’re Proud Of
“I’m most proud of my switch from playing opposite to setter. I’ve only been setting for seven months, but I am confident in my hands, my ability to run the offense, and to make almost any set on the court, on two feet, on the move, or even jumping to cut off a tight pass or to speed things up. I love to play fast, free with a lot of energy!
My focus and commitment to doing quality work every single day helped me get these skills and catch up to girls who had been setting for much longer than me. This dedication gave me the opportunity to get on the court, compete, and grow with some of the best players in the Southern California 13U division at The Magic Lab with Coach Kiy through SoCal JVPA.
I’m very thankful for my parents, coaches, and friends who supported me all summer, even during early mornings in cold quiet gyms, long days with more than one workout, and no days off. I’m especially grateful for the coaches who believed in me and gave me the opportunity to learn and play for them.”
📲 Why This Post Mattered
“The recognition made me feel really happy. It reminds me that all my hard work is starting to matter. In my first few seasons of volleyball, I didn’t get many chances to help my team during games, but I never stopped working and trying my best. I kept showing up, staying focused, and working hard to get better, even when I knew I might not get to play.
My family helped me stay positive during the times I felt doubtful or didn’t feel like working. They noticed my effort and reminded me to keep going and trust the process. Now I feel like my moment is starting to come, and that makes me really excited.
I use social media to share my volleyball journey and show my progress as I work toward my dream of playing volleyball in college. I hope my posts inspire others to keep believing in themselves, and maybe even help start a conversation with a coach about how I could be a positive part of their program.”
🧠 What Coaches Should Know
“Off the court I am an artist. I love to sing, dance, and create. On the court I’m the best teammate no matter what.”
