The senior libero was very good defensively, coming up with impressive digs. Tan thrived with her excellent positioning at the left back position, consistently getting in the right spots to get a touch on the ball and displaying excellent ball control to deal with hard-driven swings. The libero wasn’t much of a target for Stratford in serve-receive, but handled each serve that went her way efficiently. Tan also did a great job with her transition sets, using her hands to get her hitters in good situations to score, at times even fooling opposing blockers with fakes.

Tan is the starting libero for the Memorial team that will be in action at Cinco Ranch HS, playing against Seven Lakes, Magnolia and Cy Park. A senior, she has superior technical skills and her game is built upon them, which makes of her a very reliable libero. Tan is a tall libero and uses her length to get to the ball on the backcourt, but is also very agile and capable of changing directions very efficiently when playing defense. She also stands out with her passing, displaying excellent technique to make contact with the ball every time she’s served.
