I saw Rush play for Lexington United at Central Zone this past year and was enamored with her ability to make plays and command an offense. Rush will be staying in state to play for Western Kentucky who is a perennial NCAA tournament team. She has the length, athleticism, and intangibles to do some special things at the next level. When watching Rush, there isn’t much of a weakness to her game. She has consistency with her location, she knows when to attack, she is a great defender at the net and the back court, and she knows how to win.

Her crowning achievement, however, is her All-American status, a distinction awarded to only 26 players nationwide, which truly underscores the elite level of her talent. Rush recently reached her 2,000th career assist, a testament to her skill and leadership as Great Crossing gears up for the Region 11 tournament.

Rush is focused on pushing the tempo faster during the club season to help her hitters create more one-on-one opportunities particularly on the outside in addition to improving her court vision and setter dumps to add to her arsenal. The Western Kentucky University commit can do that with the short and cross sets. She also has a nice jump serve to the back line and is a solid double blocker. Rush earned a spot on the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches First Team last year recording 864 assists, 187 kills, 64 assisted blocks, 12 solo blocks, 196 digs and 67 aces helping Great Crossing to a 32-3 record, a 41st District championship and 11th Region runner-up finish.
