Rob Howe | Prep Dig Scout
I’m not quite sure where Cory best fits positionally, but that’s a good thing. Her versatility and capabilities at multiple spots make her an interesting prospect for the next level. She appears to have grown from the 6-foot-1 listing in her Prep Dig profile. Long arms make her play even taller. Ideally, development at setter would be the most interesting outcome with her height and skill set. Cory also could end up emerging as a right-side hitter with her increasing efficiency and power there. She was operating through six rotations, at times, when scouting her at the 2026 Adidas Windy City National Qualifier. A teammate was occupying the setter spot, for the most part, so she slid over to attack effectively from all along the net. Her consistency in the back row is improving as is her feel for the block. Cory flows well with the action and limits mistakes. The first-team all-MVC pick in 2025 could help a lot of programs on the next level. Limited roster space makes her positional flexibility that much more attractive.

Cory was operating through six rotations as a right-side hitter during my most recent scouting opportunity, which came at the 2026 Nike President’s Day Classic in St. Louis. It highlighted a well-rounded volleyball skill set flashed during the previous in-person viewing at the Prep Dig Sizzle in August. Cory piled up 464 assists, 228 kills (.203), 283 digs and 57.0 blocks in an all-conference campaign for Kennedy in 2025. She’s an exciting prospect because of already being able to impact matches while having plenty of potential for more. Cory improved noticeably from August to February. Her trajectory should have college coaches interested. She’ll add flexibility with limited roster sizes on the next level.

this club season where she will be suiting up for Iowa United. She brings length and athleticism to the court as a 6’1 setter who can also swing on the right side. She was a 1st Team All Conference setter for Cedar Rapids Kennedy in the highly competitive Mississippi Valley Conference of top large school Eastern Iowa teams. The upside for her at the college level is very promising.

for Cedar Rapids Kennedy. She is a major problem for the other side of the net. Teams need to know where she is and what she is going to be doing. She is a setter/right side combo player and at 6’1 she is an offensive and defensive threat at the net. She had over 450 assists and 228 kills for the Cougars this fall that has a really strong junior class. Keep tabs on Cory this winter where she will be a name to know.
