She also stood out with her defensive effort after serving, showing hustle and staying engaged in every rally. Kaydence could not be stopped this weekend. She took over matches with her blocking, stopping some of the best hitters at the tournament in their tracks. On offense, she was quick and smart with her swings, outpacing most opposing blockers. I would love to see what Kaydence’s hitting efficiency was over the weekend, because she rarely made errors yet consistently terminated. Her discipline in her movement was the key to her success. She never missed a transition and was always available to her setter.

One athlete to keep tabs on is Kaydence Johann Kaydence Johann 6'2" | MB/OH Pewaukee | 2028 WI . She is a 6’2 middle blocker who has shown she can swing a bit on the pin as well. Her length causes problems for the other side of the net. She touches high and provides a big block. She swings with IQ where she knows how to use her angles as well as find the last five feet of the court.

Johann was a wall at the net this past weekend. With speed, height, and a good vertical, Johann is a middle blocker with a ton of potential. She transitions quickly, has solid footwork, a good read on the ball, and moves with ease from side to side. Johann was also effective on offense as well. She delivered some solid kills to both corners and racked up points with some carefully placed tips over the block and to the front corners.
