I don’t remember scouting Ervin before seeing her and North Scoutt compete at the Benton Bobcat Invitational earlier this month. The sophomore right-side hitter impressed me with her feel for the game and effectiveness as a two way player. Coming into this week, she’d played fewer sets than a lot of her teammates, but Ervin was a main part of the rotation in Benton, meaning she’s emerged because of her loud skill set. Ervin already has been piling up kills and blocks. She’s a legit 6-2 with long arms that help her generate power and throw up an effective block. I’m intrigued by Ervin and look forward to tracking her progress from here.
