I always try to watch every team in the Junior Nationals on the first couple days of pool play. If not, I probably would have missed the play of Kaylee. 540 lost their first seven matches. It would have been interesting to watch them play in that eighth match when they took the third set 15-9 for their first win.
When watching them play early Kaylee was always communicating on the court encouraging her teammates as well as identifying her responsibilities. She appeared to read the blocks well moving to the open spot. Kaylee always has her feet moving. She also has strong hands for setting out of system or digging high balls.
It would not surprise me if she makes the varsity roster as a frosh for North Stafford but it all depends on the number of returning back row players.
