About Brooklynn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Quick tempo, High volleyball IQ,

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Light hearted, focused on task at hand, receptive to constructive criticism.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned a great deal about teamwork through my 3 seasons of club and school volleyball. I have learned that our emotions can greatly effect the teams performance on the court. Learning to work though upsets from my errors and team losses. I have help my Coach to teach beginners to volleyball the fundamentals of the game and I greatly enjoy sharing my love of the sport with the beginners.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest mental challenge I have faced since starting volleyball is learning to not let my errors get to me and shut down. When I just started playing I had an extremely hard time moving on from my errors and I let my emotions get the better of me. This season I went in with a new mind set that I need to shake (some time literally) them off during the games and focus on the play.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that supports me as a student and athlete.

She impressed at a Prep Dig showcase to make her debut in the rankings. At that time the scout who watched her was impressed by how quick she was to the ball and her pancakes when playing tips on defense. Her play was consistent and measured.

Because she plays for a second team I have not had the opportunity to see a lot of her play. That will change with the Junior Nationals. While her video shows quick reactions to the ball a faster paced game may prove a challenge.
