About Kendall

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Athletic, six position player. At Camas HS I run a 5-1 as the setter. 3x all-state player. I embrace the lead by example role on my team and am always the hardest worker on the court. I have also been select 3rd team all state in basketball as well as winning a state championship.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a leader who likes to involve all of those around me. I am very focused and determined when on the court, but like to encourage others along the way.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a 3x team captain on my HS volleyball team and was also voted as co-MVP of my HS state championship basketball team. Teamwork is the key to success, our slogan in HS is “we over me” and I have to say that can’t be more true to a successful team.

Mairs was fun to watch playing in the 5-1 at the setter position. She thundered down kills and found hitters from seemingly impossible angles with creative sets. The senior had a super fast BIC attack working in the pipe with Gabriella Thompson Gabriella Thompson Gabriella Thompson 6'0" | OH Camas | 2026 State #133 Nation WA and finished her high school career with another trophy at the state tournament.

Mairs has reopened her commitment and is the #2 ranked player in the state of Washington for the class of 2025. She has been a critical part of Camas volleyball since her freshman year, and the Papermakers have had great post-season runs in each of those seasons. Mairs has vision, range, and power attacking from the right side; she is comfortable driving the ball hard angle, down the line, or dropping in a smart off-speed or wipe. A multi-sport athlete with excellent strength and hands, she pushes the ball quickly pin-to-pin as a setter and will run the 5-1 for Camas this season. The Papermakers will look to Mairs as team captain and leader of the squad as they make a run at a state title this season.

We got to see Mairs play from the right side for OJVA 18-1 this weekend. Although really a setter, Mairs was needed as an attacker and showed her impressive offensive play. Mairs took some crazy swings and made many electrifying plays to push her team to a win against NPJ Salem 16-1 National to advance on Sunday. She is committed to San Jose State!
