About Kenley
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I play smart and aggressive, always reading the game and making quick decisions. I focus on timing, positioning, and communication to help my team win points. I stay calm under pressure and adjust fast to what the other team is doing.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m competitive, coachable, and always looking to improve. I bring positive energy to the court and push myself and my teammates to get better every day. I stay focused, work hard, and never back down from a challenge.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Yes, I was a member of the National Junior Honor Society for two years. This past year, I received the Most Improved in Mathematics award, was named to the Principal’s Honor Roll twice, and earned the Excellence in Advanced Reading Achievement award for performing at a high academic level in reading.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills through volleyball by always supporting my teammates and staying positive in tough moments. Being part of NJHS also taught me the value of community service and responsibility. I’ve learned how to lead by example and stay disciplined on and off the court.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Another challenge I faced was adjusting to a new team and coaching style after switching clubs. At first, it was uncomfortable and different from what I was used to, but I kept an open mind, worked hard to earn trust, and eventually became a key part of the team. It taught me adaptability and how to stay focused through change.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a Division One college where I can compete at a high level, grow as an athlete, and be part of a strong team culture. I also want a school that supports academics and has a positive, driven environment both on and off the court.

Kenley, a 6-foot freshman middle blocker from Arbor View with a 9’11” touch and a 4.0 GPA, is always putting in the extra reps to improve her craft. She came through big for her team over the weekend in a JV tournament, showing why she’s one of the most promising young players in the program. A hard worker with a strong swing, Kenley finds deep corners and contributes heavily on the block. Her quick snap sends overpasses straight down, making her a force at the net. Keep an eye out for her this club season playing for Vegas United 15 Black.
