comes to each competition as one of the most well rounded and sound DS/L’s out there. Very solid with a firm platform that allows her to pass the ball to her setters effortlessly. Her feet are constantly moving and she is constantly analyzing her offense’s pace of play while she hustles for block coverage. Skyler is a consistent producer with a very high number of digs and we’re excited for what she will continue to do as her team raises it’s level of dominance in the 16s division. – Anthony Jones (Prep Dig AJ)

Skylar’s passing angles are chef’s kiss. She did a great job at the showcase, passing well on both serve receive and defense. Left back is definitely her sweet spot, and she does an excellent job with out-of-system setting. She naturally covers her hitters and is a trustworthy defender.

Skylar was exceptionally impressive in the back row. She communicates effectively and shows relentless hustle for every ball. She kept a positive attitude throughout the event and focused on delivering accurate passes to help her team set up successful plays. Agile and quick on her feet, she managed to reach many difficult balls with ease. I really enjoyed watching her execute precise passes and excel in serve receive. I have no doubt that by her senior year, this sophomore will be one of the top liberos in the state.

I would say my biggest piece of advice would be to show your personality and be the loudest person on the court at all times. One of the biggest things that i have learned from high school volleyball is that every coaches style is different and it’s good for a player to feel uncomfortable at times so that you are able to learn and expand your game. Even though high school tryouts can be very nerve racking, it is so much fun! Last year I was super nervous and almost got caught up in the anxious part of the game rather than being present in the moment. I feel like that was one of my biggest mistakes and so if i had to say one thing about high school season is to enjoy every bit, be present in the moment, and be coachable!! Also it is great to start filming games and scrimmages to be able to have film to send out to college coaches!
I started doing this last year and it really helped me to be able to send out film from high school and club season to different colleges!

Skylar was very impressive at the showcase. She excelled in maintaining clean passes and a tight platform, consistently delivering solid passes to the target. Her hustle and ability to read hitters were top-knotch. She has perfected the split step, which gives her a jump on the ball and makes it easier to handle float serves. Whenever possible, she uses her hands to pass, helping her team run a faster offense. Skylar displayed numerous elite skills and is poised for an outstanding sophomore season.
