The Class of 2030 may be young, but this group is already proving they belong at the varsity level. Making the jump to high school volleyball is no small task, especially as a freshman competing against athletes with years of varsity experience, but several 2030s across Arizona have wasted no time making an impact.

Whether they're stepping into starting roles, providing a spark off the bench, or simply holding their own against some of the state's top talent, these freshmen are showing confidence, composure, and plenty of upside. We're still early in the season, but these 2030s are already turning heads—and giving us plenty of reasons to be excited about what's ahead.

New to the Arizona volleyball scene, [player_tooltip player_id='894865' first='Senalah' last='Sagiao'] first caught our attention at the Prep Dig Showcase, and it was pretty clear that was only the beginning of what we would see from her. She has carried that momentum right into school season and is already making an impact at Xavier as a setter, putting together an impressive start to her high school career.

Sagiao is quick on her feet and does a great job getting herself in position to deliver a hittable ball, even when the first contact pulls her off the net. One of the things that has stood out most is her ability to consistently push a great ball to the outside from different areas of the court. Her technique is polished for such a young setter, and she plays with the composure and consistency you love to see at the position. As she continues to develop her connection with her hitters and gain experience at the varsity level, there is a ton of upside to her game.

We're excited to have Sagiao competing here in Arizona and even more excited that we'll get the opportunity to follow her growth over the next four years. She's already making her presence known, and this is a 2030 setter we'll be keeping a close eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='789370' first='Layla' last='Duncan'] has wasted no time making a name for herself as a Basha Bear this season. Stepping onto the varsity court as a freshman and competing against some of the top hitters and programs in the state is a big ask, but Duncan has continued to show that she can hang with the best of them. She's quickly becoming a reliable offensive option for Basha and is already tracking toward the 100-kill mark early in her high school career.

What really stands out about Duncan is how advanced her game already looks in the middle. She's a force at the net, with the physicality and timing to make an impact both offensively and as a blocker, with 16 blocks to date. Her ability to run the slide is especially impressive for her age. She gets off the ground quickly, moves well laterally, and attacks behind the setter with confidence—making her slide game look well beyond the typical freshman level.

As she continues to get stronger, develop her blocking presence, and build even more connections with her setters, Duncan has an incredibly high ceiling. She's already proving she belongs at the varsity level, and with three more seasons ahead of her, we have a feeling this is only the beginning. Duncan is a 2030 middle who is going to continue making waves in Arizona volleyball.

[player_tooltip player_id='919648' first='Charlotte' last='Lilley'] is proving that age is just a number when it comes to being an impact player at the varsity level. Already taking on the responsibility of being a six-rotation outside, Lilley plays with a maturity and competitive edge well beyond her years. She fights tooth and nail for every point, and whether she's in the front row or back row, she finds ways to make an impact for Hamilton.

Her defensive ability is especially impressive. Lilley has a knack for picking up shots that look destined for the floor, and her quickness allows her to cover a ton of ground from middle back. She reads hitters well, reacts quickly, and isn't afraid to throw herself into a play to keep the ball alive. That same competitiveness carries over into serve receive and transition, making her an incredibly valuable all-around presence on the court.

Offensively, Lilley is just as dangerous. She approaches aggressively and brings that same mentality to out-of-system situations, where she has shown the ability to take a less-than-perfect ball and still produce a quality, aggressive swing. There's very little hesitation in her game—she goes after opportunities and plays with the confidence you want to see from a six-rotation pin.

Lilley is already showing the foundation of a complete outside hitter, and she still has so much time to continue developing her game. Hamilton has a legitimate six-rotation threat to build around for years to come, and we're excited to follow Lilley's journey as she continues to make her mark on Arizona volleyball.

[player_tooltip player_id='891496' first='Brianna' last='Murray'] was one we were excited to watch at Canyon View this season, and she's quickly shown that she belongs at the varsity level. Her defense is undeniable, and the calm, steady presence she brings to serve receive helps keep her team composed and in system. She reads the court extremely well, plays with great range, and has a way of making difficult defensive plays look routine.

She's equally impressive when things break down, consistently delivering quality out-of-system balls that give her hitters a real opportunity to score. Murray doesn't just keep rallies alive—she finds ways to better the ball and put her team in a position to capitalize on the next contact. For a young player, that level of composure and consistency in the back row is impressive. She already looks comfortable taking on a major role for Canyon View, and we have a feeling she'll be a defensive staple for the program for years to come. We can't wait to watch her confidence continue to grow and see where her career takes her.

[player_tooltip player_id='923861' first='Madison' last='Bambulas'] has been an impressive addition to the Cactus lineup this season, making the jump from middle school volleyball to the varsity level look almost seamless. In her first high school season, she has already recorded 124 digs, establishing herself as a major presence in the back row and showing a level of composure that makes it easy to forget she was playing middle school ball just last year.

Bambulas plays with great range defensively and does an excellent job reading the court, putting herself in position to make plays and extending rallies for her team. She also covers her hitters extremely well, consistently working behind the block and staying engaged throughout the entire play. Her impact hasn't been limited to defense either. She has already added 22 aces and 19 assists, showing just how many different ways she can contribute.

Her ability to apply pressure from the service line adds another weapon to her game, while her assist numbers highlight her comfort taking the second ball and helping Cactus stay in system when the setter has to defend. For a freshman taking on this much responsibility in the back row, Bambulas has looked incredibly comfortable.

This is only the beginning for Bambulas, and we're looking forward to watching her continue to develop. She's already making a significant impact for Cactus, and we expect that impact to extend well beyond her freshman season.

[player_tooltip player_id='920122' first='Mia' last='Wells'] has wasted no time making an impact at Liberty, putting together a strong start to her high school career with the numbers to back it up. As of today, Wells has already recorded 56 kills while hitting .200 from the right side, along with 12 blocks, showing that she can contribute on both sides of the ball.

What makes Wells especially intriguing is her versatility across the front row. While she's already finding success on the right side, she has the ability to be a legitimate offensive threat from either pin. She attacks with confidence, gives her team another option at the net, and has shown that she can produce even while surrounded by plenty of established talent.

Breaking into an already stacked Liberty lineup as a freshman is impressive on its own, but Wells is doing more than simply finding her way onto the court—she's producing when she gets there. With her versatility, physicality, and plenty of time left to develop, there is a lot to be excited about with her game. Wells is off to a tremendous start, and we can't wait to see how she continues to leave her mark throughout school season and beyond.

Kennadi Barbour is another talented 2030 who is new to the Arizona volleyball scene, and she has quickly given us plenty of reasons to keep watching. She has become a staple for the Desert Mountain program this season, stepping into a significant role as a freshman and already tallying an impressive 165 assists to date.

Barbour's impact goes well beyond running the offense. She has been incredibly active defensively as well, already recording 82 digs, and she isn't afraid to work to keep a play alive. That all-around effort and willingness to compete have made her a valuable presence on the court early in her high school career.

As a setter, her ball placement is rock solid, and she already shows an impressive understanding of how to run an offense. She can push tempo, connect with her hitters in different areas of the net, and does a great job keeping opposing middles guessing instead of becoming predictable. There's a confidence and consistency to her setting that stands out, especially for such a young player.

Barbour has brought another dimension to the Desert Mountain offense, and the exciting part is knowing how much room she still has to grow. She's already making an impact as a freshman, and we're looking forward to watching what she accomplishes over the next four years in Arizona.

[player_tooltip player_id='920104' first='Kora' last='Callahan'] has really come to life for the Perry Pumas and is quickly showing just how impactful she can be. Not only does she have size on her side, but she has the volleyball IQ to go right along with it. Her decision-making at the net is incredibly impressive—she knows when to unleash her power, when to find an open spot on the floor, and when to take something off with a well-placed tip. She does a great job reading what the defense is giving her rather than simply swinging away every time.

Teams have also tried to pick on Callahan in serve receive, and that has proven to be a mistake. She's incredibly steady in the back row and handles pressure well, making her a much more complete player than her size and front-row presence might initially suggest. She brings great energy to the floor, competes hard, and has a way of elevating her play to match the level of those around her.

With her combination of physicality, volleyball IQ, and all-around skill, Callahan is going to be an outstanding addition to Perry's lineup for years to come. We're excited to watch just how high her ceiling can go.

The school season is just getting started, and we can't wait to continue following Arizona athletes and programs throughout the fall!
