Miss Busse is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Lovejoy High School and also plays for the 1United volleyball club. While most defensive players have to really push themselves to extend their range due to their height limits, Kenz uses her longer frame very well in the back row. She is a very athletic and strong baller who has no trouble rebounding the ball to where it needs to go with her platform. When you watch her play out of the middle back position, you see that she is in total control and knows her role very well. She never seems to get flustered or play too fast. That tells me that she is super confident in her ability and that will translate to some great things with her teammates and coaches. All coaches will want that kind of demeanor during tough moments to help overcome any adversity that may happen. Her long arms create such a wonderful angle during serve receive and she has such a natural touch on the ball. I really think she is going to have a breakout year during club and will be watching her closely to report on it. I wouldn’t be surprised if she serve receive passed over a 2.4 for the entire season.
