Her pre-serve preparation and communication with her setter is consistent, which affirms her understanding that being on the same page helps the offensive execution come easier & when her approach is in sync with the provided set, Kianna is a force that’s only getting stronger. On the defensive side of the net Kianna is an absolute brick wall that posed a serious challenge & a major threat to every attacker in her zone, and this resulted in several denials and positive points during the match. She plays with a chip on her shoulder, but seeks every opportunity to learn from her coaches, and refine her skills. This Freshman will be a name to be remembered throughout this season.

She walked into the Freshman Showcase fired up to listen, to learn, to ask questions and affect the game in a major way. Showcasing consistent approaches and persistent attacks, Kianna did not let up from court to court. Calling for the ball any time it came to her side, she was determined to shine and did just that.

For Kianna, the inaugural Vegas For Athletes Summer Games offered the perfect blend of high-level competition and an unforgettable atmosphere. From the Opening Ceremony to competing alongside some of the area’s top athletes, the experience left a lasting impression.

What was your favorite part of being part of the inaugural Vegas For Athletes Summer Games, and why?

“My favorite part was definitely the atmosphere and competition. Being surrounded by so many talented athletes who all shared the same passion made the experience exciting and motivating. Everyone encouraged each other while still giving their best effort, which created a positive and competitive environment. The memories, friendships, and experiences I gained made it an unforgettable event.”

Is there a match or moment you’ll remember for a long time?

“The Opening Ceremony is something I’ll always remember. Seeing athletes from all over Las Vegas come together, celebrate, and have a great time before the competition even started was really special.”

Would you participate again next season?

“Most definitely.”

Kianna, aka Kiki, is playing up on the Broncos 17s team and proving she can hang with older competition. She scores at will against true 17s, can put an overpass straight down with a quick snap, and her athleticism shows whether she is swinging in the middle or on the pins. Kiki brings a big block, aggressive energy, and a fearless style of play. 

Kianna stands out for her physicality and dominance at the net. A strong and bouncy attacker, she gets on top of the ball with ease and punishes overpasses. She also contributes defensively with solid blocking and shows good movement for her size.
