Almonte (pictured) is extremely creative not only with how she blocks and hits, but also where she places overpassed balls. Almonte can smack down overpassed balls, but she is also not afraid to tip them away from opponents, including the use of her off (left) hand. She makes good passes then transitions quickly into her attack mode. Almonte’s vertical jump gives her a high attack point to pound balls to different zones on the court over double blocks. Her sound ball control lets her attack seams with precision and tool blocks. Almonte takes good line shots and goes after struggling passers. She can tool blocks and brings great enthusiasm to the court.

Almonte is a flat-out playmaker for 17-1 Elite and Morristown-Hamblen West. Almonte tips balls to the sides on ones and gap shots and makes things happen when the team is out of system. Almonte can angle balls off blocks for big points. Almonte is also solid on defense, making crisp first touches then hustling to the next position. Almonte adds in tough jump serves that produce points.
