About Milly

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a steady, high-energy defender who takes pride in consistency, serve receive, and controlling first contact. I focus on keeping the ball off the floor and putting my team in system. I compete for every point and bring energy, communication, and reliability to the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I stay confident and steady in all moments and take pride in being dependable. I embrace pressure, focus on the details, and am always looking to improve. I’m coachable, competitive, and bring positive energy while helping keep my team connected.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Beta Club and National Honor Society. Selected for Dobyns-Bennett Leadership Class, Chamber Choir, and Health Sciences Clinical Cohort (Class of 2027).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through my involvement in school and activities, I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and strong communication skills. I’ve learned the importance of consistency and accountability, and being someone others can rely on. I try to lead with kindness and stay others-focused, knowing everyone has their own story. I value creating a positive, supportive environment.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was losing my uncle suddenly in 2020, just before my 6th grade year. That experience gave me a new perspective and helped shape my mindset. I also travel four hours round trip for club volleyball, which has taught me discipline, sacrifice, and the value of hard work.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a place where I feel at home and can be part of a competitive, team-first program. I want to be coached tough, valued, and surrounded by people who push me to grow.
