The senior libero had an excellent match, standing out in the back row for Tompkins with impressive production. Monroe did great work in serve-receive, leading the team with 28 passes, and was very accurate with her deliveries. The libero also thrived on defense, displaying excellent positioning and superior ball control to register ten digs. Monroe’s serving was game-changing for the Lady Falcons, as, besides tallying five aces, she had long serving runs both in the first set, helping her team create massive separation, and in the fourth set, allowing them to recover their best form after a strong push from Stratford.

Another reason for Tompkins’ excellent offensive performance was the fact that the team was in system more often than not, and that was due to Monroe’s excellent work on the backcourt. The senior libero led the team’s serve-receive efforts and displayed great chemistry with the team’s outside hitters and defensive specialists, keeping things organized and efficient. She also came up with some great digs, showing excellent positioning and ball control to deal with Jordan’s swings. Monroe always looked very calm and secure on the court, and did well too when she had to set in transition on a few occasions. She ended the match with a double-double of 19 passes and 11 digs, leading the team in both categories.
