Playing on the right, the senior was a key piece in Tompkins’ victory, producing consistently throughout the match and coming up big in important moments for them. Elsasser used her length and firepower extremely well on offense, scoring at a good rate – she converted 12 of her 23 swings into points and was very good when hitting the slide. The senior also got the ball in key moments and delivered, scoring the final points in the last two sets, getting the game-winner after some consecutive errors from her team. Elsasser also had a strong blocking presence, getting four stops and challenging Stratford’s pin hitters throughout the match.

Playing on the right, the senior was very important for the Lady Falcons, operating as a secondary scoring option and helping St. Rose carry their offensive load. Elsasser made great use of her length and displayed excellent vision to beat blockers and defenders, tallying the team’s second-best mark of 15 kills. She also demonstrated impressive versatility, hitting sets on the right and the middle and putting the ball down at a great rate when set the slide. Elsasser also had a strong blocking presence for Tompkins, registering three stops and getting many touches up at the net.

Elsasser’s HJV 17 Elite team had one win and six losses over the weekend, finishing 13th in the division. She was a bright spot for them in the middle, playing with tremendous efficiency. Elsasser was very solid offensively and did a great job of converting most of her swings into points. She was very consistent offensively and displayed a good variation with her shots, finding different ways to put the ball down. Elsasser was also very productive with her blocking, getting many stops and touches.
