About Lauren

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a consistent, six rotation player who contributes to every phase of the game. I’m a team player who plays with intensity, high volleyball IQ and very competitive. I’m aggressive on attacking but make smart decisions on both offense and defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m very focused and committed. I’m a team player who encourages others, stays positive and brings great energy to the gym while always putting the team first.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in the following: Benet Scholars – St Hildegard of Bingen is an enrichment program designed to extend the development of Science and Math excellence. I’m 1 of 10 students in the class of 2028 that was selected to be part of this program. Benet Buddies - a program that works with disabled adults.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I would say qualities that would describes me, I’m well rounded, driven, kind, team oriented, hardworking and fun loving.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a school that offers strong academics alongside a volleyball program that is competitive, supportive and focused on long-term development.

New Wave 16 Tsunami has a couple lefties who are really dynamic.  One is Lauren Smith Lauren Smith Lauren Smith 6'0" | S/RS Benet Academy | 2028 IL who can serve as a right side hitter or setter.  I was able to see her play in the 16 Premier Division at the Winter Classic where her squad finished 4-1 overall.  An athlete like Smith is a real gem where she change the game in a variety of ways.  She can find her attackers and she can score points on her own.
