Leighann Ruiz has a sharp eye for the court, reading open spots and knowing exactly when to attack and when to place a smart tip instead. She brings energy and encouragement to her teammates every time she steps on the floor, and that steady positivity makes her someone teammates want on their side of the net. Since last season, she has added real power to her hitting and improved her vertical on the block, giving her more tools to finish points at different heights and angles. Leighann is early in her recruiting process but has already started reaching out to coaches directly with her schedule and information, and the feedback she has gotten at college showcases has been encouraging.
