About Leimaile

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay as competitive, strong court awareness, and good energy.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is big and bold. I’ve never been quiet or shy. I have always been unapologetically enthusiastic.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been in my high school Polynesian club since freshman year. Always learning and sharing new traditions.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Since I was a little girl I have volunteered every summer. Our school district hold a summer camp for kids with special needs or disabilities. I have grown up with most of these kids and made many friendships.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One year ago, 16’s season I tore my ACL. It has been one of the most challenging obstacles in my career. Throughout my entire injury I sat in the sidelines, went to physical therapy, and attended multiple doctor appointments. I’m back on the court and ready to play the game I love. My knee nor my brace don’t define who I am as a player, it’s just is a reminder of what I am capable of.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a welcoming community, a supportive environment, and a new adventure for the next four years.
