If my team were in a stressful or high-stakes situation, Lexi would be the setter I’d want on the court. She does a fantastic job of keeping her team calm and collected through guidance and reassurance. Haller can contribute to her team not only as a setter, but also as a hitter. Although she’s not the tallest, she plays at the net like she’s the biggest one on the court. No matter the score, Haller is going to give it her all until the very end. Her leadership, energy, and team-first mentality are exactly what Jefferson needs for a successful season.

Haller once again made an amazing impression at the Prep Dig Sizzle this week. For me, it goes far beyond her skill; what impresses me the most about Lexi is her amazing leadership skills. It is so obvious that she leads and plays with a team-first mentality, and that’s something that can truly make or break a team. No matter what the score or the result of the match was, Haller always remained positive and uplifting for her teammates. She ran her offense beautifully and always played two steps ahead of her opponents.

I’m a sucker for volleyball players with unique skill sets making them difficult to pigeonhole into one position. If we had to do that, Haller would be a setter. But her talents allow contributions well beyond that spot, where she stands out for precise sets and excellent decisions. Haller is a heck of a hitter, too. Comfortable swinging from either pin, she flashes an impressive vertical leap and power. She’s smart reading the block and playing off of it. Haller is reliable in the back row, holding up well in serve-receive and standing up against tough attacks. She’s a vocal leader bringing good energy to the court.

Throughout the season, I have watched Lexi a handful of times, yet I never get tired of watching her performances. My favorite thing that Haller brings to the game is her insane amount of energy. After every play, she will be the first one to run over and hype up her teammate. Of course, that energy carries into her gameplay, creating the best opportunities for her offense. Defensively, she’s not letting a ball drop without putting her body on the floor. Lexi truly embodies the definition of leadership and selflessness.
