Notice a few familiar last names on this list? Well, here’s another one. Coach Rhonda Thigpen is extremely high on her young setter, and for good reason. At 5’8″, Latham is a bit of a tweener when it comes to the size many major college programs look for in a setter. But talent, skill and volleyball IQ can certainly trump height.

Latham has an exciting future ahead of her as she develops into a leader for Lakeside. She has the opportunity to grow into the position over the next few years, and I’m really looking forward to seeing her compete during club season. That’s where we’ll get an even better look at her development and recruiting potential.

Exciting times ahead for this young setter!

Libby Latham Libby Latham 5'7" | S/RS Lakeside | 2030 State AR made an impression with her hustle and strong presence on the court. She gave full effort and stayed locked in from start to finish. More than just her physical play, Libby showed what it means to be a great teammate. She was communicative, encouraging, and always ready to step up when needed. She’s the kind of player every coach wants on their roster, many college coaches were shocked by her age. She impressed with her mature skillset rather it was an assist, dig, serve, or hit.
