Expect Yancey to see plenty of varsity playing time this year for the Rams. If we had rankings for 2030’s, she would be at the top. Hendrix is an advanced athlete for a 14 year old. She won’t be intimidated by varsity play in the least, having played against top competition at camps and in club. She is rangy and quick and plays with great anticipation at the net on defense. On offense, she is effective at all three front row positions. She also has an infectious personality on the court that puts teammates at ease, but she can turn on the intensity at a moments notice. Expect to see her on the court a lot this season.

The 2030 middle/pin hitter from the EVA 14 Elite showcased a combination of athleticism, versatility, and upside that is difficult to find in players her age.

Standing 5’11”, Yancey possesses length and strong athletic tools, but it is her versatility that truly stands out. Throughout camp she demonstrated the ability to work effectively as both middle blocker and right side. Defensively she showed strong blocking instincts from either position and challenged attackers no matter their age.

Offensively, Hendrix displayed a surprising complete skills set. She attacked line, cross court, utilized soft roll shots and powered through blocks-something not commonly seen from younger players.

Yancey’s energy and enthusiasm are infectious, helping elevate teammates and bringing a positive presence to every court she steps on.

Her personality made her a favorite among teammates, and her attitude made every drill more competitive and fun. She’s clearly a player with a high ceiling. Her arm swing, IQ, and vertical are all advanced for her age. She is driven, coachable, and always pushing herself to improve. She not only has this drive on the court, but in the classroom and even her young career in acting/film-making/etc. Hendrix is someone to keep an eye on as she continues to develop her game.

Yancey is an up and coming star in the 13’s age group. Her drive to and energy can be seen. Yancey does a great job at swinging around the middle block and hitting deep corners. Though at a young age, Yancey is definitely a player to get an early eye on and to watch for years to come.
