Mari is a fast-rising freshman from Hot Springs Lakeside. She and fellow freshman Hendrix Yancey Hendrix Yancey 5'11" | MB/RS Lakeside | 2030 AR are the future of the middle for the Rams. Unfortunately, Yancey is out for the year but will be back stronger for club season. In the meantime Davis has stepped up for Lakeside. She is providing strong defense at the net and has a strong swing. She is raw but making an impact immediately.

I was able to watch her in person at a recent Lakeside game. Mari is very explosive and is getting better at reading hitters. The more connection she makes with her setters, the better she will be. Coach Thigpen stated, “She is really starting to improve. She had 4 blocks the other night. She is fast and getting faster. Mari is getting a few kills a game and has a great attitude and works hard for me.”
