Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Dig Scout
Huntrods was a ball of energy working through six rotations for Impact 16-1 Elite at the 2026 Nike President’s Classic in St. Louis. Undersized at the pin, she made up for it with an impressive vertical leap and by generating good power with her swing. Huntrods got on top of the ball and played within her abilities on the outside. She did her best work in the back row, a more natural position for her lateral quickness and sharp reflexes. Huntrods is technically sound in digging the ball up and delivering crisp, usable passes. She saw action in 10 varsity matches as a Ballard sophomore in 2025, coming up with 41 digs and seven assists in 26 sets.

brings a relentless motor to the backcourt. She closes space with urgency, refuses to let rallies die, and consistently extends points that swing momentum. What stands out is her willingness to absorb pace—she doesn’t bail on hard-driven balls. This weekend, expect Lilly to be everywhere: chasing tips, digging cross-court heat, and resetting broken plays. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

A strong all-around athlete, Huntrods can help her volleyball team in multiple ways. She showed that during the LOVB Midwest Recruiting Showcase in June. Huntrods held strong in the back row of an event with powerful swings. She did that as a freshman for Ballard’s varsity last season. Here 141 digs put here among the team leaders and led to 19 starts on the campaign. That athleticism helps Huntrods find success. She moves fast laterally and shows sharp reflexes. Getting a good read on the attack puts Huntrods in position to make plays, and her work in serve-receive provides promise that 2025 could be a big year for her.
