Hickey is back in a big way. This multi-talented athlete provided a huge spark during Premier Nebraska 16 Black’s late-season charge. Hickey brings outstanding ball control in the middle-back area, but her attacking role also expanded at GJNC. This allowed 16 Black to establish another weapon in its offense and give blockers another matchup problem to think about. Hickey’s willingness to fit into any lineup has set her up for a significant rise in our next 2027 rankings.

Premier 15 Black has no shortage of six-rotation stars on the left side. Hickey will gladly assist her team whether she’s hitting in the front row or playing as a DS in the middle-back area. She meshes well with whichever teammates accompany her in the serve receive pattern. 15 Black immediately stole the spotlight with its NLQ championship, where Hickey became a key defender in the back row. And, if Hickey gets her shot in the front row, look out.

Premier Nebraska 15 Black’s dominance has been well documented. It started at NLQ and carried right into April’s Show Me Qualifier. That consistency requires a cohesive backcourt unit, and Hickey is usually part of that effort in the starting rotation. She’s an outside-DS hybrid player who is a natural fit for the middle-back area. Hickey can handle a ton of passing volume and has also developed a wicked serve to generate scoring runs. Her contributions will be vital as 15 Black hopes to remain a GJNC frontrunner this summer.
