About Lowe
Expert Analysis
Mike Bryant | Prep Dig Scout
As part of a team that has a solid corps of capable point scorers, Long may bring the biggest heat among them. A primary pin, she definitely saw a lot of opportunities to swing from the left side of the court. Through the precision they can create with their fast tempo, Long and others often see space in front of them. She is really good at exploiting that space and will make teams pay for it as her effort proved throughout the weekend.

The number one thing I noticed about Lowe is her work ethic and is so coachable. She is always ready for practice and soaks up all the feedback she is given. She is also so selfless. She is always willing to do whatever the team needs her to do.

Long was a key arm for the success of Tri-State Elite 15 Blue, a team that won the JVA World Challenge with an unbeaten record in 15 Open. She and her team wrapped up the season in 14th position at the AAU national championships. Long is a versatile scorer as she can swing for power and good results from both pins. She has good range as her court awareness and arm control increase her terminal effectiveness. A rising sophomore for St. Ursula, the 2024 Ohio DII state champion, she will be looked upon to help this team make up a lot of offense that graduated this last year. She has the tools to make a big impact this fall.

Long jumps in the rankings as she continues to prove herself as one of the heaviest hitters at the pins in this Ohio class. The quality of her movement continues to show minor adjustments that are making a big impact in her ability to contact at the peak of her jump and develop a lot of pace from the torque in the air. At 6’0, this touch point and heat are a difficult combination to slow down on the other side of the net. And when this team is in-system with their quick pin tempo, watch out as Lowe can bring it through the open space.

Long (pictured) would be starting other places, but has to wait her turn playing for the talented St. Ursula squad. Long is facing strong competition playing for the 15 Blue squad preparing to fight for a varsity roster spot in the fall. Long is made for the fast-paced offense the Bulldogs like to run. She puts herself in position quick and continuously executes mixing in different ways to put balls down. She hits balls soft on one play then hard on the next play. Long could fill in a big role for St. Ursula with her dedication.
