is already making waves as one of the most promising outsides in Minnesota. She combines quick footwork with a fast arm swing, allowing her to beat the block and score in rhythm. Kimball’s court vision is impressive, often spotting seams or deep-corner gaps that many attackers miss. Add in her ability to handle pressure in serve-receive, and Kimball is positioning herself as a high-ceiling prospect that coaches should be watching closely.~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

This girl can play. Kimball has a huge vertical and a rocket for an arm. While she is only 5’7”, she doesn’t back down for taller opponents and consistently finds ways to score. Lydia knows when to take big swings and also when finesse or placement is needed. Lydia’s serve is also one of the hardest to return. It is flat, floats, and is just awful if you are on the other side of the net.

Lydia Knutson-Kimball had a solid showing for La Crescent-Hokah in a 3-0 sweep of Dover-Eyota.
Knutson-Kimball delivered nine kills in the victory. She hits the ball hard with her quick delivery, but she also places it well at the same time. She can really thread the needle on her kill attempts.
Her approach on kill attempts is solid, and she has good footwork. The freshman outside hitter has a lot of potential in her young varsity career.
