About Madalyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’ve always felt a deep connection to the role of libero—it's more than just a position; it's a responsibility I embrace with unwavering passion and precision. Whether I'm diving for a dig or setting up a teammate with a perfect pass, I take pride in being an anchor of the back row for Virginia Elite 16s.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Beyond the court, I believe in the power of leadership and communication. Whether it's calling out defensive assignments, rallying my teammates, or making a crucial dig in a tight moment, I aim to bring energy and focus that inspires those around me. Anticipating plays and reading hitters has become second nature, often turning potential points for opponents into momentum-shifting saves for us.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

At Gainesville High School, I've had the honor of being the only freshman selected for varsity in 2024. Since then, I've embraced playing one of the all-round positions which was new to me, adapting and growing with each game. This year, I've been entrusted with a leadership role, an opportunity I cherish as I continue to learn and lead by example. Leadership meets weekly through the year.
