Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Johnson is a seasoned veteran on the Prep Dig Circuit, so we’ve been able to track her development over the past few years. She had a breakout 2024 season with Nebraska Juniors 16 Red, especially in the high-pressure qualifier environments we saw in Kansas City. Johnson can effectively disguise where she intends to attack, opening up seams down the line or in the crosscourt. Her growth was apparent during this weekend’s showcase after she earned plenty of starting experience with this year’s Lincoln East squad. Look out for this ever-evolving 2026 prospect.

Johnson’s showcase visits have built upon the positive momentum she has accrued while competing with Nebraska Juniors. She had a breakout campaign this spring and showed her high-flying termination again on the Prep Dig Circuit. This was the prelude to Johnson earning starting reps with Lincoln East this fall, and she paid off that opportunity with triple-digit kills. We’re eager to see more from this showcase alum in 2025.

The Show Me Qualifier was Johnson’s breakout moment. She made heroic plays on the left side as Nebraska Juniors 16 Red swept through the opening day of pool play. This Lincoln East prospect can find tiny gaps in the opposing block and rip through them with authority. Johnson has also progressed on the right side, making her a multi-dimensional threat at the L1 position. This is one of many unexpected stars we saw in Kansas City this year.
